Hi All,
Like Johnny Lemonade, I too have been away from here for far too long, but no pregancies here--congrats to you and the Mrs! This has been a crazy Summer and I have been busy with the launch of the print edition of my book that just came out. But I always believe you never forget your roots, and as someone who has been laid off twice before hitting her entrepreneurial stride, my heart is always with those who have been handed lemons by an employer.
Hi All,
I've been a bit busy helping a lot of laid off people, and those who fear joining the ranks of the unemployed, work on their "Plan B", which, as you've seen from prior posts of mine, I believe for most people is infopreneuring.
In the interim, I also took a great couse on creating Slideshow videos, and I'm pleased to announce the world premiere of my first video called "What Is An Infopreneur?" It takes a fun, informational look at this empowering way to utilize what you know for your own benefit, either instead of, or in addition to, the knowledge you may use for an employer.
It takes less than 5 minutes to check it out at http://BudUrl.com/InfopreneurVideo I'd love to hear your feedback (be kind, it's my first video), and would greatly appreciate your mentioning it to a friend, loved one or colleague if you enjoy it as I believe you will.
Just thought I'd share with you the replay to a FREE 70-minute teleseminar I did recently which shares 8 things Corporate America doesn't want you to know about why you REALLY just lost your job (or will), and most importantly, how to empower yourself using your own knowledge to do something about it!

This is a must-listen for every laid off employee, as well as anyone who's still an employee wondering if they'll be next to experience a layoff--so please tell a friend!

When you are an employee, on any given day, you can lose your job through absolutely no fault of your own. It's just business. And it's not just people with jobs at huge, publicly-traded companies who have to think twice. Privately-owned companies and "Mom and Pops" lay off too. And remember, there's no such thing as a civil service, or non-profit sector, "job for life" either. I know, because I've been laid off twice myself during my professional Corporate America career.
The first time, I was laid off during pretty good economic times, after the fourth merger in a row of the mega bank I worked for at the time. One day it's a "dear colleague" memo on your desk, "great news we're merging with another mega bank to make the ultimate mega bank." The next it's the old "your position has been eliminated. Congratulations, you've been downsized due to the merger."
