Hello Lemonaders,

Happy 4th of July and Happy Birthday USA!

I have been emailing back in forth with a fellow Lemonader, Cara, about how blogging is not only a great way to share information, but can also serve as therapy for those going through a difficult time.

Hopefully she will be blogging more as her story is all too familiar for many...Thanks Cara!

For me blogging and writing has become a gift of reflection and documentation that there is life outside of the walls of corporate, or in my case non-profit desk jobs.

Behold the power of social networks! Thanks to Facebook, I have reconnected with half of my high school...ah, the memories. These sites can also be of great help when searching for new opportunities.

CNN.com featured a story, Hired! From Campfires to Career, on Mark Gentry, a recent college graduate looking for a job. Thanks to Facebook, Mark reconnected with an old friend (Kevin) who helped him land a job!

The purpose of LemonadeIt is just this...Get people connected to help them get back on their feet and ultimately find a job!

Yesterday's Miami Herald published an article - Parties helping jobless to network - about websites and events, which help out South florida job hunters. LemonadeIt was featured as well as others.
The word is spreading, and this is another step toward our achieving Lemonade! Let's continue helping out as many people as we can!
